Curium is a market leading innovator of automated sensor calibration technologies for autonomous systems across multiple sensor types such as Vision, Radar, LiDAR and Inertial sensors. Our Multi-sensor Calibration Platform includes End-of-Line (EoL) Static Calibration as well as Continuous Dynamic Calibration (CDC) for semi- and fully Autonomous Vehicles (AVs), Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS), Industry 4.0 use cases and IoT platforms. Our automated calibration ensures safety and reliability of autonomous and automated driving over time during operation.

Curium is the first company commercially offering a complete full-system on-the-go multi-sensor calibration solution including for the automotive and non-automotive use cases.

Terrapin Geothermics Inc. develops emission-free energy projects from heat to help clients decarbonize their operations and thrive in a net-zero world. An end-to-end project development firm, Terrapin specializes in generating clean, baseload electricity and heat from industrial waste heat and geothermal resources.

Is it possible to optimize ventilation in indoor spaces, to keep clean air and not waste any energy? Is it possible even in the buildings with no mechanical ventilation? Is it possible to retrofit entire buildings in one day and at the lowest possible investment? 

Fybra is an IoT startup that solves these dilemmas. Fybra’s smart devices collect data and send them to the cloud, where its patented algorithm predicts air quality and comfort trends and calculates the optimal ventilation rate aimed both at energy saving and air cleaning. Fybra seamlessly integrates with natural and mechanical systems, given its proprietary platform.

In 2022 the program received more than 30 applications from companies hailing from all over the globe. Ten scaleups with expertise in sustainable mobility and transportation were selected to be part of the Landing Pad. All of them showed great promise to grow their business considerably in Germany and provide valuable solutions to our world’s pressing problems. With the support of the Landing Pad these companies took their first steps on their market expansion to Hamburg, Germany and Europe.

The Maritime logistic industry lags in optimization and automation within the digital revolution, resulting in CO2 overproduction. Awake.AI has created an AI platform that reduces CO2 waste by increasing maritime logistics efficiency. With this they want to set new standards in the evolving smart-port market.

BeeX is an expert in preventive maintenance for maritime infrastructure. Its vision is to trailblaze a new era in underwater work by reducing costs, risks, and CO2 with hovering autonomous underwater vehicles. They protect marine infrastructures and do not require invasive vessels.

The need for lithium-ion battery storage is growing exponentially, yet current recycling practices waste great amounts of materials. Circu Li-ion developed an upcycling process that can recover up to 90 % of end-of-life battery cells. Circu Li-ion holds the key ingredient for sustainable battery production and their technology has a high potential to disrupt the global battery recycling market.

Working in confined and inaccessible spaces poses a great risk to workers’ health and costs money and time. By allowing drones to be used safely for indoor inspection, it is possible to reduce accidents, downtime, and costs. Flyability taps into untouched markets of robotic drones in Germany.

HSL Technologies developed a molecule called HydroSoil which will make the stable transportation and storage of hydrogen in existing infrastructures possible and is likely to accelerate the development of H2 infrastructures globally.

Making Urban mobility sustainable, budget-friendly, and hassle-free is still a big challenge. Infinite Mobility developed solar-powered lightweight electric vehicles to tackle this obstacle. With a widespread charging infrastructure, safer offerings, and a bigger battery range, they want to change the face of urban mobility.

The security problem around smart devices and networks is a big challenge. This is where Microsec’s software-based cybersecurity solutions come in. With their focus on critical infrastructure and modern industries, they want to protect mission-critical services and products.

With driverless automotive technology, Senior Automation wants to empower smart logistics in harbour areas. This will not only help ports to move towards zero emissions, but also reduces labour costs and streamlines work processes.

SunGreenH2 can produce green hydrogen using less material and energy with its world’s most efficient electrolyser. The versatile technology is used in locating and directing people indoors and outdoors in shopping malls, amusement parks, office buildings, hospitals and across cities. Through combining technologies such as Bluetooth, GPS and inertial sensors, the company can provide a true step-by-step navigation solution with real-time indoor positioning.

Brisa is enabling the next generation of autonomous machines with their modular ready-to-go windrose kit to update existing vehicles for autonomous use. This reduces bottlenecks in supply chains and allows adaption in existing vehicle fleets without the need for physical infrastructure change.
